Pro-Life Champions Launches New Media Project:
Shout My Story

Did you know that many pro-choice women and men no longer believe that abortion should be safe, legal and rare? Nope, that rhetoric began to change in 2015.

In 2015 a pro-choice woman started a #shoutyourabortion Twitter campaign to celebrate her friend’s abortion as a positive good. This Twitter campaign has drawn over 250,000 responses that were mostly positive as other women “shouted their abortion.” Since then, the webpage associated with the campaign has posted hundreds of stories, some absolutely heartbreaking, of women who share their “positive” abortion stories.

Their goal is to change the terms of the abortion debate. As one pro-choice woman said in a New York Times article:

“You see a hashtag and it connects you to this whole community, so you see you’re part of this larger thing. It’s not the be-all and end-all of activism, but it can change minds, and it can change the conversation.”

Our goal is to change hearts and minds to accept and nurture all human life from the moment of conception.

We are filming beautiful, short stories of women who choose life in those circumstances where they might be encouraged, even pressured, to abort their babies. We also want to include print and audio stories…hundreds of stories…to challenge this new twist in abortion rhetoric.

Our new initiative is on a dedicated website: www.shoutmystory.org. We have just released our first short film. Please check it out on our Shout My Story Youtube channel: Shout My Story–Mary Grace.

Just think: if a woman is poor, young, undereducated, or a rape victim, she is told abortion is best. If her baby is diagnosed with a fetal abnormality, she is offered “induction” or “termination” and might even be made to feel she is being “selfish” if she chooses life for her baby. Shout My Story will eventually include thousands of stories of women who choose LIFE in these kinds of circumstances. Their stories will SHOUT the message that abortion is not the answer!

Many women choose life even when pressured to abort. We want to shout their stories to the world through social media including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram. AND BY ASKING EVERYONE TO HELP US GO VIRAL!

We need your help in two ways. First, do you have a story to tell? Please let us know. Share this email with your friends so they can ask others for stories too.

Second, we need your financial support. We have received a CHALLENGE GRANT to raise $100,000 to support our ministry for the next year. We are on our way to meet that challenge!

We Urgently need your Help today! We can’t let others control the message!

Can you support our efforts to film beautiful stories of women who have chosen life? We are partnering with many of the organizations featured in the 40 film to help us go viral with Shout My Story….Your support is vitally important to help us reach thousands, maybe even millions of people through the social media.

Can we count on you for $25, $50, $100 or even more? We must raise $67,000 to meet the challenge grant. It will allow us to film more featurettes, manage the website and collect and publish hundreds of stories, while still continuing to bring 40 to schools and parishes.

Please pray for us. And know that we are grateful for your prayers and your support.

Yours, for life!
